Would there by any chance be a manufactures name on them ???... I have to replace my odd year passenger side fender anyway, be nice to just go a head and replace both with fiberglass....

I love 1963 Futuras! Great build so far.. One day I will own another one and build a "mini" early '60s kustom out of it

    Thanks man...

Well I went out and messed with the Falcon today some.. threw a coat of paint on the underneath to prevent any of that new shiney metal of drawing rust, and popped the truck to survey the only rust through places on the whole car... three of them in the trunk, which I can only guess is a result of having a mat trapping moisture for years

Should be a fairly simple fix... might go cut them out in a few minutes, but it's just too damn hot in the garage right now to weld them up right now...

That's what I figured... they are the only ones I've found that make them... How do they look.. quality wise I mean... I've heard various horror stories about US Body...

Hopefully next weekend wont be as humid and I'll fill those holes up...

Also yanked the trim, and emblems off while I was at it.. looks more like a race car now..
    lol

The rear "Falcon" emblems will go back on, but the trim and other emblems wont...

thank you for the kind words JB road rage... I am contemplating a cal custom trimmed 302 vs. the more expensive flathead and s10 t5 route..... hmmmm which to pick ... being on a high schoolers budget sucks

I know what your saying... I've got 3 teenagers and two great Danes I'm feeding....

I don't blame you thinking about the 302/T5 thing, you can just about buy parts for them at the grocery store... but Flatheads are cool... ah well, I'm sure which ever way you decide to go it'll be sweet...

Well I finally found a fender in Texas thanks to Jim of Jims Classics, He didn't have one, but told where I could probably find one.... real good guy that Jim... took me a couple weeks to get it, but I've got it on and started body work....

It's amazing how much better the body lines all line up with the right year fender on too...

    and the body working shots...

Have I mentioned how much I hate sanding... thinking now it would have been better
to just put the trim back on... lol

and this one just because I'm loving the way it's starting to look..

I've been debating whether to remove the trim on mine when I start body work. The passenger door and front fender need some massaging, and still need to finish the Mercedes Benz fender lips I used out back. I like the clean smooth look, but not sure I want to remove and weld all those holes up, plus do more body work after!

It is a pain in the ass to say the least... but hey, what's another 22 holes, per side to make it look like you want...

Wow.... Looks like it's been a while since I've updated this thread huh...

Unfortunately my car is not finished yet.... but It is getting a lot closer...

Picked me up a couple front wheels that better suit the car...

    I've got the headliner in...

And the roll cage is finished now... (incase your wondering, those are paper clip like things holding the head liner from going anywhere while I haul it without the windows)

And this what it looked like this morning just before I loaded it on the trailer to take it to the body shop to get some color sprayed on it...

Now the bad news... I was going to have it lettered as soon as I got it back from paint which should be 2 to 3 weeks from now.... But.. it looks like I'm going to get fired due to not cossing a Pickett line at the plant I'm working at.... So, I reckon I'll just cover it up when I get it back and let it sit til I can get back to work somewhere.... Always something...

Keep your head up, you"ll probably find something very quickly with the attitude that comes across from you. As a 30 year Teamster I'm proud of you, never crossed a picket line myself. Your Falcon is just plain cool, having had a 63 1/2 Sprint back in the high school days I'm partial to that body style.

Probably bring it home next week some time... It's suppose to rain here through Wed, and It doesn't have the front or back glass in it yet.. so once it stops raining I can get it home and finish up a few things on it... and a guy is suppose to buy some parts off me, so hopefully I can get it lettered here in the next few weeks too... Then it's just going to have to sit until I can get back to work....

    It's home !!

I've got a little I can do to it for now, like mount the tach, move the battery to the trunk, plum up the line lock, get the hood pins in, paint the roll cage, and a few other odds and ends that need done..

I promise just one more picture til I get it lettered...
