it would not put it past me,... another example is , i have an electric fuel pump on the car, and they left the mechanical one attatched to the engine and just bypassed the old hoses.

I have an extra electric fuel pump i was thinking of putting in since the one on the car stopped working... But im actually thinking of getting a new mechanical one they are simple to install so why would they put an electric one in....
Trying to think like the PO makes my head hurt.

If it couldn't pull the fuel anymore - crud / dirt / crap in lines - maybe they went with electric to help out. Not a good solution in my book. The mechanical worked fine.

I have to agree....the first new car my Dad bought was a '63 Breeze window (6 cylinder, bolt action 3 speed) then a 65 Breeze window (352, bolt action 3 speed). My future father in law had a 66 Park Lane Breeze window with a 428 in it...man oh man would it ever go. They are great cars and nearly bullet proof. :D

They go forever - or until someone like my PO gets a hold of them!

Crazy - did you get that headliner? I haven't found anyone that makes the material. I have most of mine - but dunno if it's salvageable. Two seams let go - and the PO (again) sewed it with thread.

I have not recieved the headliner, its coming next week with a bunch of parts i got off Ebay .
If you have all the material and the seam is all that busted its saveable an upholstery shop could correctly hand sew it back. Taking it off could be troublesome and make it worse. Ide opt for professional hand sew

I take it thats a customer's car? That stinks. I hate it when my job interferes with working on cars. They say do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life.

    Welll......

Thats one reason I stayed away from cars as a profession. I was worried I'd get too attached to other people's cars. So I "tinker" in IT. :D

It's my father in law's car. Some one else started it. Long story short I'll be finishing it. He was talked into a Mustang 4.6 fuel injected, now he it's hesitant in putting that in. He would rather have a 350 with a carb set up.
64fairlane what engine is your customer installing?

Three turnpike was the first car they made with the breezeway window. Different years . i would love a turnpike with the breezeway.

Nice, just bought this thing last month, have you laid eyes on the rear window regulator? Could you snap a pic if you're in there?
