It may be a bit before those are on, its 18 days until Back to the 50's and I need to focus on more urgent issues with the days that will be available. The spinners will be a nice touch for sure whenever they get on:cool:

    Update 4
Let's just sat the past week and a half might make for a good TV show with lots of things popping up. fortunately as of tonight, the Rambler is back on the ground and starts. found some good sources for parts that are very hard to find, they seem to be priced accordingly. The new fuel pump arrived today and after a few calls determined it is correct and the one that came with the car is an aftermarket that was not properly installed.
The big news is the car is back on track for going to Back to the 50's in 10 days
Need to do some local test drives and fix a few more things but they should go fairly well:rolleyes:

It is not really that original, it was repainted at some point with the original colors and is a ten footer.
We will see what the end of the build will be. I will try to do and modifications in a way that they can be reversed later if the next guy is so inclined.
the dash is a good example

Working on replacing the master cylinder. the only replacement has smaller fittings, trying to get the double flaring to cooperate:rolleyes:
brakes went out on my way home from Back to the 50's
fortunately, I had fixed the emergency brakes:cool:

Did you simply remove the cracked dash pad? I wouldn't have expected the paint on the metal underneath it to be so nice. As long as you're not in a head on collision, it looks great. :)

Woah! Didn't expect to see another '63 Classic build here on the HAMB. Yours is in really good nick. Rare too see such nice paint and chrome.

I got a '63 550 2 door. Not as pretty as yours but a load of fun to drive 20220904_144103.jpg 20230618_091209.jpg

yes, i was hoping the paint would be good under the pad, since it looked like the pad was only on the 770 (maybe an option on others)

Good to see you both driving and enjoying your Ramblers, despite a few bumps in the road, so to speak.. Maybe you can both aim for attending the 2028 Kenosha Homecoming Show. :D:cool:

  13. Jumping Jehoshaphat!!, my brother and I used to cruise around in one of those when we were in high school. Same color scheme even.
