I think you should buy my Impala, instead. And I was wondering if you would like to come over and unload some more transmissions? I have been collecting cast iron Powerglides, just so I can hang out with you again...

Dude, I have just one more event. Then I'll be a semi-normal human for the next few months (meaning I'll be home on the weekends).

You people with "jobs" always have some excuse. I think I might just get a job, so I can tell people how "busy" I am.

I'm sorry but no Rivi should ever be flat black with red rims, ever!....

Kirk, get a Rivi, you won't be dissapointed... One day I will own a '65...

Here's the one I'm looking at. The guy wants too much money so I'm going to let him sit on it for a while and then make an offer.

Go to that classicbuicks site they have a deal on a set. Steel rubber was a little more pricey.

Not sure what you mean, give us siome examples. I've only had my '65 driveable and not in a shop getting something done for the last month. The one thing I found. Was this (My best Guess) a cruise control buzzer....you get over 65 and WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. The thing is, by the time I get home I've listened to it for so long, I've drowned it out and forgotten about it. As a matter of fact, I think I'll fix that today!

Sounds like you've got one of Buicks' infamous "speed control" buzzer. Guaranteed to freak you the hell out the first time it goes off or your money back. My 60 'Sabre has one, it's adjustable. I have it set for 110, it's gone off a few times....

Your buzzer should be adjustable as well.

  24. Yep, that is right. On my 64 Riviera it was a knob on the bottom of the dash and it was adjustable for what speed it would go off.

Another kind of weird item was the "cold" light, in addition to the regular "hot" light. I guess that was so you would drive easy until the cold light went out? Or maybe to let you know when the hot water was flowing and the heater would work?

Oh, I'd messed with that Scrolling button on the lower dash and never got anything to work. Well apparently I wasn't looking at the Trip OD, thats what it controls. Sooooo what does the little scroll arm do that protrudes from the Speedo just below the Trip OD, the speed buzzer. Thanks for making me think about it. Went for a pre-rushhour commute cruise and it was awesome to roll 80mph and not feel like my eardrums were in pain from the annoying buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Ah the joys of learning new things on a new toy.

  29. Red rims yes, but flat black, or semi-flat in this case, is still ok... for sale right now on http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/9/4/81622394.htm.
