I am moving right along with my gasser style Nova. I have just hit another snag.I am running a Borg Warner Super T 10 out of a 78 Z28. The real nice stock linkage rods are pretty thick and hit the tunnel. I don't think I can "adjust" the tunnel that much. I haven't ran a 4 speed in twenty years. Have you guys ran into any shifter or linkage probs like that on the Novas?
I have felt your pain, the only thing that worked for me was to cut, hammer, bend or do whatever was necessary to make it work. My 62 came with a 6 cyl 3 on the tree then came the 283 with a Borg Warner 4 speed, do what ya gotta do after all, it's a hot rod! Also consider buying a 4speed "hump" from a vendor and welding it in. Good luck.
