I have old american racing wheels that came on the truck, I'm keeping those. It had bias ply tires on the front and cheater slicks in the back, they are toast so I'm switching to radials because I actually want to dirve it places and not be scared half out of my head.

It now has the gold basecoast over the white. More pics as I can get them.

  6. Let's see some pics...that is lookin NICE!

  7. Brings back memories, used to have a '69 A-100 van with slant 6 and 3 on the tree. The first time my father saw that van, he said, "Son, if you ever wreck it, you'll be the first one on the scene of the accident," referring to the driver and front seat passenger's position seated directly over the front axle, with only a windshield and a piece of sheet metal in front of them separating them from the outside world. That thing had well over 300,000 on it when the slant 6 put a rod through the side of the block. Had an annoying leak that I never could track down and fix around the driver's side windshield. Every time I got in a hard rain, the leak would drip onto the turn signal flasher which would leave me with no turn signals. I owned that thing 3 1/2 years and probably put 20-25 turn signal flashers in it. That old thing drove really good, though, actually quite comfortable on a long trip after I replaced the original front seats with a pair of high-back buckets out of a Vega.

Here's some pics of the metal flake. It's in between sandings/clearings so it looks dull in the pictures.
