History 1964? Drag racing picturs.

My dad is driving the black 1964 Chevelle SS racing the white Ford. Thanks for the pics, most of his were lost. Was this the Nationals? The stories I remember was that someone was killed that day in a rail when his chute was tampered with. I wondered if that was really that same day. If you have any more pics that might contain my father, I would be forever indebted to you if you could email them to me.

 

They're so rare that they aren't even in that picture.

I think this was June 28, 1965. I think this is the day Lou Cangelose was killed there.

 

Not Streamlites, They have ribs that run almost out to the tire bead. Probably just plain old common backward Halibrands.
