Thanks clay, it's gonna take me a few days to try it, my wife has me moving a fence in the back yard, an the company that installed it used enough concrete to do a whole driveway per post! I'll be digging all morning, then renting a jackhammer. Once I'm done moving the fence, I'll be sore for a few days, but I'll get back to the window as soon as I feel up to it. I'll be back soon with a update.

A little progress today, finished routing the battery cables from the trunkto the engine compartment, starter silenoid mounted in engine compartment and I painted my msd coil to have a yellow top like the original coils.

Clay, I guess it came out so easy because it's a new gasket. I pulled the gasket back from the roof with my fingers, dripped some dish soap along the top, and gently pushed it out all by myself. Put the trim on, then me, my wife, and my stepson put it back in. It was a piece of cake. Thanks everyone for the tips!

OK i think i just about finished all the wiring for teh MSD, new fuse panel, 2 step, line lock, coil (msd, just painted to look original), distributor and battery. I just need a small length of 1ga wire from the firewall to the starter silenoid, i ran out of cable... Also i need to run the wire from the fuel pump to a toggle switch in the drivers compartment. I was able to route the main battery cable though most of the wiring locations with a little size increase with my step drill bit and some rubber grommets. Everything should be hidden for the most part...

Looking good ... not to far away from the fire on this one. Thanks for the on/off switch idea.

Trying to find a good place to mount the fuel pump switch. I figured I am not going to have a radio anyway, this will save me from drilling more holes and can't be accidentally hit while shifting or with a knee. Then I can just finish off the rest of the opening with some aluminum. Thoughts? Or where have you mounted yours?

How about a radio delete plate? Then you could use one of the heater pull out knobs for the fuel pump? Hidden, and cool!

My original idea was to use the lighter as my switch or the wiper switch, but I don't want it so hidden that I can't get to it quick enough if I need to. If you know where a delete plate is let me know I have been trying to find one forever!

Thanks muttley, I have the engine compartment and heater block off as well from him. The last time I inquired a few months back he said he did not make the deluxe dash one and had no plans to in the future... The search continues!

Yea Roy I bought it. It's on it's way home! I got the car started today! It ran good Idled decent with 65psi of oil pressure. It did heat up after about 8 minutes and shot up to 200 degrees and was climbing until I shut it off. The radiator and expansion tank were kinda cool/warm but the block was hot. I have a 160 themostat.. I am thinking maybe the water did not get into the block, like a big air bubble? Your thoughts? I am just happy it ran and sounded good!

160 is way too cold! It will never close, and the coolant won't stay in the radiator long enough to cool down. Use a 180, or somewhere around there.
