Now that's better! Now if I could just figure out the clearance is of the front two stacks with getting a new hood or cutting a hole. I like the height of the 8" onesand don't want to go the shorter ones since the rest fit well, but I may have to go the the 6" ones.

Mike;looks cool,I think you need the 6" stacks!!!! If you can find pictures of Scott Dapron's Black 64 Comet[there are pictures on the 64/65 Comet thread] ,he runs the shorter stacks! ROY.

Al I would need 10 or 12" to stick out of a flat hood, the 8" ones would just pierce the surface with the front two ram tubes

Some progress today. Got the injector intake installed. Had some clearance issues with the distributor, nothing my angle grinder on the dist I couldn't handle. Also took out my old comp plus shifter, to install my new supershifter 3

AN fittings for the water inlets would not only be easier to deal with but also much more racey!!

That intake was a great score!

The new injector manifold hilborn recently stopped producing for sbfs has screw in type pipe fittings for the water inlets and I had a chance to get one instead of this one, but this one is stamped #106 and since hilborn started numbering at #101, it is the 6th one ever made and is period correct for my car, I like history, especially when it comes to ford. Trying to keep it true to form but also a competitive racer is definitely been a challenge. One that fit better would be nice though too!

Mike;doesn't MSD make a taller base available for their SBF distributor? It looks like you may have hose clearance issues too. ROY.

I have been talking with two local guys that do hand painting on racecars.. Using Microsoft paint... This is kind of a rough idea of what I think I'm going with, with some gold leaf lettering. Opinions?

mike i'm with roys opinion, one added thing, more isn't always better, and if i was to do your lettering i would suggest your name to be on window and fuel injection be same size with your cubic inch following...jmo my car when done will resemble roys (unlettered) even though nss and nmca prefer lettering.....al

i still want to see staggered stacks out of your hood:D

I want the "fuel injected" to be in small cursive, almost writing where it is, I don't have the computer skills to modify it like that, but I'm trying! I will see if I can make the vision in my head match the picture of the car. Thank u guys for ur input. It will be subtle, not as obnoxious as the picture portrays

Mike;I like that better, but I would move the 289 down to where you flaming chicken emblem is!! I think you still need your Performance Associates logo on the car,it is a WEST COAST car!!!You need to start saving Olivia's allowance money[don't tell her I said that] for a Jerico and a SoftLok clutch!!!! I think that, if you want my humble opinion, that you don't add anything about the engine or injection. It'll be obvious to anyone that can actually hear it.

Still waiting on the surge tank and lines/fittings for the injection! I got the Hurst supershifter 3 installed. I had to cut about 3 inches out of a Hurst shift handle i got here on thr Hamb to shorten it, then redrill new holes and slightly bend it. That was a PROJECT.. got the boot modified also for the reverse lockout. Roy thanks for the pistol grip. Put it all together, got the carpet and seats back in, looks normal again. Now I have a super short throw, reverse lock out shifter with a pistol grip that sits perfect for my arm to shift, hopefully this will help.. Oh and my crew chief had to try out the shifter.
