Well, since you mentioned the T-Bolt, here's the first one, the last one and one in the middle. I think the red one is the final one made.

  7. Not much info, just said to run it! I went to Napa and Oreillys, neither had intake manifold gaskets, napa ordered them and they will be in tomorrow morning.. I also need to get another filter between the hilborn pump and barrel valve. I have seen some guys run a cone shaped metal filter that slips inside an -AN fitting, but I can't find them anywhere

You might try Oldie's Speed Shop in Ventura on Telephone Road in Ventura. They have a room full of AN fittings!

Mike;which intake gasket do you use? I have a couple of different types here if you strike out at NAPA. ROY.

  10. It's the ones with the L shaped ports for the water jackets, I got them today, just getting off work now. Maybe get it installed tonight

Well at least one injected falcon will be running this weekend, and after waiting so long for Hilborn to get yours fixed up, I'm glad it's gonna be yours. Mine was getting close, until I realized I ordered the WRONG starter!! Let the return/exchange nightmare begin!

If you didn't stay up all night to get it together and running, then take it to the track today and beat it like a rented mule,I will be very disappointed in you.
Tell me you got it together....?

  13. I had some personal issues this weekend, but for the old gaskets scraped off, the nozzles and hoses installed. I might get the injector manifold installed tonight after my 5 yr old goes to bed. And living in Southern California, there are not too many tracks around I could even go to!!

Sorry to hear that.Hope everything worked out.
Life has been getting in the way of my projects lately too...I don't mind though.I'm enjoying that phase where my Boy is old enough to help me work on the car,but young enough that he isn't too cool to hang around with Dad..:)

  15. Got the manifold installed, but now another problem! With the straight nozzles I can remove to service, the hoses are too close to the valve covers and I can't get the hoses screwed into the nozzles. So I guess I have to notch the valve covers out for all 8 hoses,I can't think of what else to do?

I think you should be ok notching the gasket rail of the valve covers on the intake side. There will be such a small amount of material removed that it will never have an effect on sealing.
Nothing is ever easy though,is it?Im constantly running into the 'domino effect' on my ongoing project too....you fix one thing, and that requires mods to three more things...ugh.
Oh well.Screw it!We get to drive old cars that go scary fast when we're done..!:)

Those fittings are an style and you can buy 45 degree adapters for them I know those adapters cost money but it would be a bolt on item and you wouldn't have to cut on those Bitchin valve covers you have an awesome car

Mike;try using two gaskets glued together,it may raise the VC high enough to clear. If not,it looks like just a minor slot ground into the gasket rail will work. ROY.

Mike, I have the same valve covers, the rail is WAY too wide. I wouldn't notch them, but I sure would mill about 1/4" off that side of each cover.

Wrenchbender has the answer. Angled or 90 deg fittings are the way to go.

  21. I had 90 degree nozzles before, part of servicing a hilborn injection is removing the nozzles to clean them, one slightly clogged nozzle and it runs like poop, trust me I learned the hard way!

With 90 degree nozzles you cannot remove them with out removing the intake because they contact the heads, at least on my small block ford.

I started looking those adapters wrenchbleeder, but if I make the nozzle taller with the additional AN fitting, the hoses won't reach!

Roy two gaskets doesn't clear it either... I am thinking of just 4 half circle notches on each side, the hoses would fill the both and would not really even be noticeable I think.

Brian;Mike came over the other day to borrow my die grinder and cutting tools so he could cut his valve covers for nozzle clearance.I think between work and getting his Daughter ready for her first day of Kindergarten has him a little busy! ROY.
