Thank you guys, Roy someone has to monitor me!! I got that new distributor gear too, maybe I can stop by tomorrow if you have time?

The color sanding and buffing is done, it's amazing how much that improves the look of the paint. You can see my tool box reflection in it now!

If I tell you then I won't be the only one with them!?!
Perogie sells them... I don't know how many they have because I had to speak to a couple different sales people, the first one said they were out, I called a week later then the sales person I got that time put me on hold and said was able to locate a set in the wharehouse.

    Good luck!

What do I do here? I have a McLeod bellhousing and Doug's headers, but as you can see they don't agree with each other. Do I clearance the bellhousing and decertify the sfi rating or get some type of header flange spacer and hope it does not leak or hit the shock tower? And big thanks to Roy for pressing on my new distributor gear!

Mike;I would notch the flange on the bell housing. The tech guys will never see it,just take off enough to get the headers to fit flush with the heads!!!! ROY.

How about a small spacer to bump the header out?

I modified a big block clutch fork to the shape of a small block fork. I have a big input shaft in my small block toploader so the big block fork was needed for the larger 1 3/8 input. The stock big block fork is about two inches longer and didnt line up right, nothing my angle grinder couldn't fix!

Just about done detailing the trunk, painted everything the body color. The body shop left everything dynasty green including the hinges. I re-conditioned the fuel filler neck and gas tank vent hose. Painted the top of the gas tank black along with the back bars of the roll bar, re-wrapped all the tail harness/ gas tank sending unit wires, re-plated (with cad spray paint) the trunk striker and latch, even cleaned and re installed the factory seam guards on wheel wells!!

Mike;just my opinion, but I would paint the inside of the fenders flat black,it makes that under coat less visible by not being shiny!! ROY.

I got the headers in last night but it was so tight On the drivers side, I had to unbolt the steering box and push it up outta the way, jack up the car about two feet then a little forcefully squeeze the header through the small opening created by the bellhousing and trans tunnel... I couldn't hold the headers ,steering box and z bar, now I have to figure a way to get the z bar in there.. I took a break tonight but will try to get that on tomororrow night. I am also going to try and get the intake mounted so I can see where the pinch weld needs to be clearanced and where I may have to do a lil grinding for the distributor to fit.

So the z bar I had was too long so I cut it and welded to the proper length. Still got to finish welding it and try and get it installed. Here is my fuel filter and fuel pump bracket. I am going to drill two holes through the trunk floor and mount the bracket just in front of the gas tank probably with a bicycle tube or some other rubber between the bracket and the floor. The pump will be lower than the gas tank by about an inch. Trying to keep it clean and simple, hopefully this works!

Got the fuel pump/ filter bracket mounted. I used a couple rubber grommets and drilled out the center so the mounting bolt would slide through... Trying to stop the interior reverberation from the pump. Also the pump to the bracket has rubber grommets so hopefully it will be kinda quiet.

That is base coat clear coat out of a spray can. I didn't have the body shop paint the trunk or engine compartment. The engine compartment is single stage from Eastwood under hood black. I used VHTs glossy rollbar black for my Rollcage and VHTs semi gloss black for all my interior panels (doors, dash and rear quarter pieces), the VHT paint lays out super smooth and is good for the flat panels. For The trunk I ordered 3 dans of paint from automotivetouchup.com the same factory color as the car and a can of clear.
