I have a 1964 v8 falcon with 10 miles on a fresh build. I broke the motor mounts and all i can find for replacements is stock rubber. Nobody offers a poly mount. I dont want to drill and bolt some cheap mounts. Im at a lose here. Sorry in advance if this is the wrong section im new here

Thats different from my set up. I only have one stud that enters into the frame bracket like a 86-93 5.0 mustang. Thanks for the quick reply

Poly mounts are going to transmit a lot of engine vibration. What's wrong with stock mounts?

New motor mounts shouldn't break in the first 10 miles,,you left out a lot of details, what size engine?,what kind of transmission? HRP

try something for a Mustang, should be similar, if it broke that easy, I would install a torque strap.

Tie the motor down on the left side with a piece of chain or cable. Leave it slack so it only tightens up under full power when the engine rocks to the right. It must be short enough to stop the mount tearing loose.

This will not transmit any vibration to the car or have any bad effects at all. Hot rodders have been doing this for 50 years.

I heard frame mounts and motor mounts from a 66 mustang will work went to buy them from sacramento mustang parts off of auburn blvd and they told me it wont work. I guess ill have to strap it

  12. The '63-65 Falcon/Comet V8 mounts are 'only' parts.... use a strap.

Try Ron Morris. Falcon and Mustang in that era are the same. They are the next best thing to motor plates and they do not transmit vibration. I race a Falcon and a Mustang that I've had since new and evolved thru modifying factory w/ aluminum blocks etc to the urethanes. The adjustability is another nice feature.
