1964 mercury comet condition: good cylinders: 8 cylinders drive: rwd fuel: gas paint color: blue ***le status: clean transmission: automatic type: coupe 1964 Comet Caliente for Trade. I am looking to trade for pre 70's GM vehicle, particularly Pontiacs. Looking for something similar in value and without any rust issues as well. This is a 260 car with a C 4 Transmission. I believe these are the original engine and transmission. Carburator is an autolite 2100 from 1964 and is probably the original. Has new shocks, all new brakes, new rear drums, plugs, wires, partially new exhaust. The car has no rust issues, except a slight bit of surface rust from the road rash up front. Rear quarters, trunk floors and frame are all immaculate. The car is missing , kick panels and rear window winders. The carburator leaks from the accelerator pump and should be rebuilt. Car idles great but wants to stall when hit the gas a bit hard.The car engine has chrome valve covers and air cleaner. I have the proper stock ones, just not put on yet Windshield has a ding in it but has not spread. Dash pad needs to be tucked back in on the window side. Radio does not work and temp guage either. The steering is sloppy and needs to be redone. I have a few of the parts for that, the rest are all available. Engine has good compression, all cylinders between 145 and 155. Has new seat covers, door panels are original
