I worked at a Ford dealership in the early 70's, the owners son had a Boss 429 and the elder had a Boss 351 Mustang that had a 2x4 427 swapped in, talk about the sound with those two running together.
The Tasca Mustang was built as a street racer and used a 494 cid Can-Am Boss engine in it. It went 10’s through the mufflers on street tires. Impressive for back n the day.
Yes. Eden actually owned the car until 1991. Her car still survives today. Eden wasn't the only cast member of "I Dream of Jeannie" to have a Mustang. Bill Daily (Captain Roger Healey) also had a 1968 Shelby GT 500KR
Even though I am a Ford man at heart, I only owned two Mustangs, both 67 390 GT's one 4 speed that was wrecked, and this GTA. I bought the wrecked one in 1973 for $200 as it was hit hard the pass side, and I wanted the running gear anyway. Flash forward 7 years and I buy this black one for $800, and had a friend replace the LH door and quarter panel, with the parts I had saved. It was a nice car, fold down rear seat, AM -8 track and ran great. I made a big mistake and sold it for $1600. Pretty valuable car today !
Sorry it's a '72, but hey, I put a '71 gas cap on it so you can pretend Owned this since age 12 in '92. Has had it's factory 302/3 speed manual, swapped to a 351C/FMX at age 14, built the Cleveland as a nitrous monster for my senior project and swapped in a C6, blew that up on the way to my 10 year class reunion, then built the 552" and C6 that's in it now.......This car and I have been through hell and back, and some of the best times of my life....this is, more or less, me in car form.
