looks like it ran c/xs and b/xs from the old pics. if it ran other sanctioning bodies races it could have just about anything resembling a greek alphabet put on the side. i would assume thats why the old pics don't show a permanent class painted on the car. there was nascar nhra ihra udra etc. changing classes was as easy as adding weight or changing fuel and induction. they all had their own designation.
Unfortunately I ended up using a reproduction headliner. Maybe if I find an NOS one I will put it in the car but for now it's just fine Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
AAAresto, thank you for getting this car back together. this is true history coming back to life. keep updated photos coming.
BEAUTIFUL!! I had a '65 Satellite BelverereII, Black, Tudor Post, 426 Wedge, two fours, 4spd., Doug Thorley fender well headers, Big and Little Grey Spoke Torque Thrusts, dash mounted Sun Tach, was probably my all time favorite car, of all the stuff I've owned, Ask me then, WHY IN THE HELL DID YOU TRADE IT OFF ON A NEW 1968 ROADRUNNER WHEN YOU GOT OUT OF THE ARMY IN APRIL OF '68???? Shell Shock maybe, I don't have a clue! WTF!!
Your Welcome saltflats! Check out the license plate, because all of the guys in our small town knew the young Lady that worked at the Court House, we all got our engine size on our plates, Randys Biscayne was 2UB427, the Hemi Dodge was 2UC426, about 8 of us had "The Cool" plates, kinda the forerunner to Personalized Plates I guess. Sure miss that car.
