hello, this is my project, her name is Ethyl(cool story). she is a 1965 Cadillac commercial chassis built into a hearse by the "Superior Coaches" company. i acquired her from riverside California, a hot rod shop owner had her and was closing shop, she has a oil change sticker thing on the windshield from Pennsylvania, dated to 02. and a Colorado lawyers key chain thing. and i found some body transport documents from South Carolina dating from the early 70's to early 80's. so i don't know much of her story. she has the original 429 in her at this moment, pumps massive amounts of blue smoke, i don't leak but still go through 3-5 quarts of oil a week!! i got the heads rebuilt, new hardened valve seats, new guides. still smoking. so now i need to rebuild the bottom end. costs too much for me right now and with a darn excessive smoke fix-it ticket i need to do it now. so a little searchin and i found a '69 with a sweet runnin 472. got her cheap on account of the body made of bondo, rust, and an inch of different primers, shredded interior. but i only really need the engine, i just pulled that and am going to prepare to jam that down Ethyl's throat.

I also replaced Ethyl's front brakes, all the front rubber, master cylinder, carb, shocks, i removed half the coffin rollers and mounted 2 pedestal van seats, some rust removal, patch panels, bondo, paint. and that is where i stand today.

her future looks bright. including the 472, swapping the front spindles from the '69 so i have disks in the front. better paint. build the car into a mobile mechanic work hearse. red curtains. new wide whites. and maybe some red and chrome baby moons. future future includes an air suspension so i can keep her at the height i like her no matter the load.

i am having a problem with uploading pictures but i will get those to you soon

Heads up dude! This is your first post. (in 3 years) Read the sticky. Introduce yourself, after that you can start another thread and tell your story. Good luck.
