While volunteering at Eagle Field during the Fly-In I found this 1966 AHRA Rule Book. I'm seeing a sign here for our Drag Race I'm wanting to hold on the runway on Oct 10th:D. If you'r interested in helping the cause see the link in my signature. I will post the entire rule book as I scan them. Enjoy, Rocky

Finding the old book in a field protected by being in the middle of a stack was way more fun than google:D Scanning and posting it on the HAMB is good times.

    Rocky,
You're absolutely right man. There's nothing like the thrill of a find.
Call me old fashioned but nothing quite compares to holding something in your hands and reading it.
    thanks

It was interesting to see the rules from this far back. I have several old AHRA rules books dating back to the early 70's and if you compare the rules to the NHRA or IHRA, you will see the majority of them the same. They just named the classes differently and the AHRA was more liberal in their requirements.

My father has a record from 06/26/1966, Thompson Drag Raceway in Ohio, class F7 G/SOA, I have looked for years trying to find what that class was. As it stands from what I have been told it stood until the 1980's. Does anyone know of anywhere the records are stored online? Listed Mike Werman & Bill Budan 14.26 @ 99.11 m.p.h.
    Thanks for sharing that book!
