1966 chev pickup-neutral start switch

    Hi 2 all - does a 66 chev p u with 3 on da yree have a neutral start switch/? If so = where is the location?? Thanx to all

    Put it gear, push start button, if it runs into a tree, it doesn't have a neutral start switch..:p

    No! Back then we knew enough not to start a stick car/truck without the clutch in if it was in gear

    By 66 it should have had one. It would be located above the clutch pedal if it is still there which is not very likely. If there is a 5/16th hole in the pedal arm about 3/4 ths of the way up, that is where the pad that actuated it would have been.

    I think they started putting switches on the clutch in the late 70s or early 80s,if it wont start there could be a starter or ignition switch problem.
