I am in the process of building a 49 Buick. I have a 1976 pontiac subframe and rearend from the same car. I don't have the driveline from the pontiac. Will the driveline from a 1978 Chev Nova with a 350turbo transmission work? Or will I have to adapt a u joint to fit the pontiac rear end?

    Hello & Welcome,.

The d/s from the pont will work in the Chevy 350 trans if the pont was a turbo 350, but the length will probably be diff for the 49. But you may get lucky findding one in a bone yard. I think the Pont u-joints are 1330's and the Chevys were 1310's.

Good luck with your build. If i can help you in anyway, pm me.

    Blake.
