Anyone found a bolt on front balancer for these newer GM bangers with some m*** to it? I want to replace the little 3 nubber that is on it. All I can find are for serpentine drives. May machine a v drive in one? ATI has a high $$$$$$$$ racing one,not for me.
Any way got the banger connected to an alum.'glide, 4 bolt '46 Lincoln carb adapted and valve cover replaced.Chopped a 235 chev 6 cover to fit.
Hope my 26 modified will run soon.
    thanks, 265glide

Don't know if this is the same thread or will work for you but here are pics of a balancer bolt from a 82 or 83 Iron duke 2.5, seems like a heafty bolt.
It's a little over 2 inches in length and the head size is 24 Metric

Solved the problem today. The spare parts pile donated a 283 chev., 6" diameter balancer. I will bore the taper out of it to 1.250" straight, cut .400" off the end and have a balancer for the "banger" Even the pulleys line up!seals are good also.
    Thanks all for the input.
