Wow - I love this thread. Mark Kirby built my motor about 13 years ago. I still wish I'd gone for the MCF heads - they look really cool.

    Beautiful location for a show..
the motor city flathead guys looked to have totally dominated the local scene in cylinder heads!! great to see so many local guys supporting a local product.

I wanted to go but had already signed up for the car show at Michigan International Speedway. Great show, almost 800 cars plus, I got to drive my flattie around the track. If you think it's easy to stay up on top of a turn at 80 MPH think again. What a thrill for an old guy like me. I made a video but it's too big to post. (over 500 mb).

...that is Jon hall's 32 5 window....and it is a radio tuner....with a key(cool) and rare...I work for jon and we mounted the radio up under the cowl...so you turn it on buy turning the know and it clicks on and adjust the volume and the other know is tuning....slick ass shit and we found it at the L.A. Roadster show swapmeet....it was a great show and kirby put alot of work into this show and I how more of ya can attend next year....

The radio head on the 32 was really nice but so was the car it was just the nicest car there but that was my vote. Darrell

  13. What is the story on this car? I'd love to know more about the car, owner, etc. Original Arduns . . . Ferguson repops, etc??

  14. The car belongs to Jon Hall who owns Shadow Rods. The car has been around for quite awhile now.You might get some info off their website.

  15. 2nd Flathead Nationals in 2012?

I heard a rumor at our beloved Detroit Autorama that the Flathead Nationals will occur again this summer in Dundee...anyone heard if that is true? If so, I highly recommend this very enjoyable low-key event. If anyone knows the Kirbys at Motor City Flathead personally, I'm sure they know...I will send an email to Mark but if anyone knows now, please chime in.
