Screenshot (372).png Great show this week! I messed around trying to create 3D Halibrands and figured they should have a '34 roadster to hang them on! Still a work in progress

Just a little teaser this week. I was inspired by Gary's Hopper paintings and decided to try something inspired by Van Gogh's style. It's a work in progress, not sure how I feel about it.

A doodle in my sketchbook of a girl and her car. 1940 Ford, ash and pine Depot Hack... Surf’s up dude!

detail from the raw scan as this piece, by nature, pretty much fills a 14 x 17” piece of paper.

Back in the 1950's there was a professional wrestler name Antonio "Argentine" Rocca. He often was on the Saturday night TV card of "Wrestling from Marigold Gardens" in Chicago. One evening he demonstrated how he laced his boots in this manner to gain some sort of benefit. That next week a bunch of kids in my junior high adopted the same method with our gym shoes.

I was looking at the old drawing Tom. I’d seen several similarly built Le Mans wagons on line and I got the itch to draw another one. I wanted to see how differently I would approach a drawing of it with all these years of added experience under my belt and without reference. This was the result, drawing Cragar mags instead of centerlines... ;)

All free hand. Max time spent on each I'd say 30mins. I have more dreams than paper, no pun intended [emoji38]

Great stuff as usual. The straight laces were originally military ( WW1 ?). If a soldier was injured and they had to remove his boot, they'd just run a knife up them and the boot was unlaced. Don't know if it was American, but definitely Canadian and British. If I'm wrong, please correct me. Have a great weekend and be safe.

Robber thanks for the direction. Weird, I have been thinking of those drawings that Gary C did in the style of Edward Hopper all week. So much talent in these art show threads and sometimes some work just catches you. Thanks Gary C. Thank you guys for all your efforts, I am constantly and consistently impressed.

Thank you for all the likes this show, The art shows here get better and better. Great show everyone.

  22. X2, thats also the way we did it in the 80ies. But here the Nazi skins had white laces, punks and not-Nazi skins had red or black ones.

I recently wanted to buy me a new pair of Martens, but when I saw that they are actually made in China, I did not.... Unfortunately all my genuine British ones are dead.
