  8. Great show gang!!! I await the day that I can post this whole image. While not 100% traditional, My intent was to create a contemporary car with a heavy not to the traditional and techniques popular since the golden age of Kustoms...

Like WOW Spoggie! I really dig this! These cats were crazy cool! I bet they all had a mouth fulla dirt from smilin' their asses off :D The bass riffs are runnin' on boogie gas! :)

  15. Yeh man that boogie is gone & those hot rod hepcats were very gone.
Outta that Sydney TQ scene came 3 time world F1 champ Sir Jack Brabham. He'd spray F1 cats with oversteer stones when he had to, just like in TQ days, when he used a car with custom Harley V-twin- based mill of his own construction.. And after Enzo cold-shouldered him on his way through to Modena, he loved nothing more than kicking red car ass. And he did so in '66 with a modified F85 Olds mill.
The only man to build & race his own car to a F1 world title.

Thanks for the sweet history Spoggie... it's gospel! Yep, Jack's the man! Aussies have every reason to be proud, and the rest of the world in aw. He was a legend then, and still is today. Arguably, he may be considered one of the most successful owner/drivers ever, in the history of the Universe! ;) When you say "modified F85 Olds", for many of us, the 330 Jetfire comes to mind, but I believe it was the much lighter, aluminum 215 Rocket. This mill and the Buick version, make great hotrod engines:)

  21. GaryC- now that's a setback!

Robber- yeh, the light 215'y one. Repco worked it over down here in Melbourne, maybe with Phil Irving (Vincent etc..)? Magnesium block? Jack got torque down low and better mpg than Ferrari.
