I have a chance to buy 2 1932 truck cabs, one has been cleaned up pretty well, the other looks barn fresh. Both have doors, but only 1 firewall. No frames, no boxes. One hood with sides, no grill shells...Anyone have any input what this would be worth Thanks
At BTT50's in the swap meet there was a 31 ford cab (different than 32) with cowl and doors and they were asking $2000
I paid $1700.00 for my 34 cab,frame,2 rusty doors,35 box,2 tailgates.I also had to have it shipped from Iowa....32's seem to bring more money on Ebay to.Location has alot to do with it.Id pay about $600 for one?????Hope this helps.....
if the doors are good around the lower hinge and not rusty on the bottom the doors should fetch $300 or so each. The firewall should bring $500 or more. Hood $200 or more. Dash $100 each. Theres almost $2,000 for some of the parts! $1200 for the pair would be a good deal. Keep the best and sell the rest. Just my 2cents worth. Steve
If you pick them up I am looking for some doors for a Model B.... Chris Nelson Kansas I can show you pix of what I paid $100 for....if I can find them.
I paid $700 cdn or about $$450 Usd for my very dry, uncut 34 cab, doors and dash. It also came with an F1 bed, 2 glass deuce front fenders, a repro A grill shell and a set of repro King bee headlights. All I got was the cab and doors as my father located it for himself and I lent him the $$$ when I saw how nice it was I decided that there was no way that he was going to start hacking it up to fit it on a nissan truck chassis and I claimed it as my own. He seems to have kept all of the other parts that came with it as they've all disappeared with the exception of the king bees that turned up on his T tudor recently. I have seen tons of these cabs at swap meets in various stages of completion at vary prices but I feel that in general if you're in the market for one that they can be had quite reasonably for around $300-$700 just make sure it's got doors as they're impossible to find if you need them.
$2000 would be all right if they were complete and pretty freakin decent. That would be both firewalls, dashes, garnish mouldings and window frame. It soulds like they are missing a few things, so I'd offer him quite a bit less. If I can get a hold of the guy today, I going to buy 2 '33 cabs myself. They aren't pretty, but I think he wants about $200 each. I think the ones I'm looking at are worth about that. Dave
I got my 32 cab for hauling it and another one home from a swap meet with my pickup. a buddy bought them from a vendor who wouldnt' sell just one....I got the best one for my trouble... Both cabs cost my buddy $20... I also bought a chopped [incomplete job but it was straight] 32 cab and doors another time for $25 at a local swap meet... The Rocky 33 cab and hacked up frame cost me less than A grand and came with the rear axle [open drive banjo] and a 46-48 ford front axle....
