2.25" Exhaust, 2"tailpipes??

I installed a 350 with quadrajet, TH350 and Ford 8.8" with 2.73 in my 1963 Studebaker Lark. I am running 2.5" ram horns transitioned to 2.25" dual exhaust back to Mellow Tones. My question is can I get away with 2" tailpipes? I am not sure I have enough clearance to fit 2.25" tailpipes over the rear end. Thanks!
