Man, I donated 100% of the first one to the HAMB. I was only going to do ONE for support. Since everyone was telling me to do more I thought it would be KOOL to do a limited edition run and have proceeds go to the HAMB. 20% of EACH sale of the remaining 12 is going to Ryan and I am working on a one of a kind just for him. Just trying to give back to the Hamb. Hope that klears everything up.

    Great work,Freaky-Ranch!
    How about this:
I do a step-by-step on doing the proto.....
I send it to ToyGhoul so he can mold and cast it,that way you see how to start and finish one particular item?
But be warned...MY sculpting process involves stimulants, fetishism, and such...
However,ToyGhouls' casting process just involves a naked hairy man named Chad....
    Seriously, kool artwork!

Thanks Mike and Scooter! Kool Johnny and Toyghoul that sounds good. I can't wait to see how you do the whole process. Uh lets all pray that the moon isn't full when Toyghoul is making the mold. [IMG]

  7. I have nothing to prove, Ryan knows what I have contributed. I just look at other auctions and see whats given to the HAMB. 20% is fine but not the average. I applaud your auction(s). but for a $3 chunk of resin I think you could give a little more Ebenezer [IMG]

  8. T man, you know how fregin hard it is to make one of those... Just molding it outta clay is a headache... You serously gotta have skills to make one of those... I spent 1 1/2 hour making a clay head and it turned out like a eyeless mishapened monkey(wanted a skull) Then headaches for the molds, then paint....etc.... Personaly, i think 20 % is a little low, but for the time and money spent on each one,,, he should make atleast 60-70% of the moneys...

    just my 2 cents

    Let's not forget the COST of and TOXIC properties of resin,cost of silicon,mold release,sanding supplies,primer,paint,fume filters,dust masks,etc....
I worked with resin for years and paid the price....not cheap...not easy....and not healthy.
I, for one, appreciate what Ranch and T-Ghoul did for the board.

Hey Thanks Johnny! I didn't plan on doing more than one for the Hamb. I appreciate that there are people out there that realize how much it costs and the amount of time involved in getting to the finished product. I have really been burning the midnight oil trying to get these things done. Thanks again for the support, Steve

Now, before I go and get my *** reamed by all the "buyers" I must say that from my past experience, the molding of this knob (silent "k") is not easy and this thing is a mighty nice item. HOWEVER, 20%? that would be a piss in the wind even if the the thing sold for $400 The concept of giving to the HAMB is great by all means and I commend the fellow for attempting to do something but what happened to the concept of helping Ryan and the other members as opposed to just pulling some cash and making everyone think you are doing something worthwhile? Maybe I read the whole thing wrong, I don't know. But it certainly seemed like most o' the profit was going back to the poster of the auction NOT were it should be going. Hack way "gents" i can take it...it's only my opinion anyway.

A 50/50 split would seem more fair to me. I think its great that Ryans getting something out of it but it seems that you are basicly using it to hawk yer goods. Time, efforts and cost aside I wonder how many of the bidders noticed only 20% is going to the HAMB.

I don't know how many times I stated that the funds raised from the Hokey *** Cookbook were going to the drags food fund and some people still thought the cash was going to support the HAMB itself. I put a ****load of time in that book to raise cash to feed the hambers. I wouldn't want a cent for doing it though. I support yer right to make a buck but not using the HAMB to do so.

Before anyone feels that I'm just being an ***, lets put this in a different perspective. Lets call the Top bid on this "auction" the average for the rest of the shift knob auctions. $110.00 x 12 = $1320 total minus the HAMBs 20%($264) = $1056 to tikiranch. Again that's just an average on the top bid on this auction. $264 to the HAMB ain't chump change but you can see where Tman is coming if you look at the possible numbers. Very nice profit on 13 *****ing'shift knobs, even at half that.

With that I do wish to say that it's only my opinion and I very well could be wrong. I calls them as I see them I ain't perfect. tikiranch may feel that he is giving to the HAMB but in my eyes he is taking advantage of the HAMBs generous nature.

I don't wish for him to stop his auctions but to see what we see and think about it.

I suppose it just bothers me because RACEFAB who donated the HAMB Drags Raffle Mill outta pocket and got slammed for doing so; tikiranch stands to make a nice profit and is getting stood up for blindly.

The HAMB auctions have been acts of considerible charity to the entire HAMB community. I cannot remember any one person making a profit doing so. Even Tim's auction of his truck. He got like $500 out of the deal but at a loss of more than the HAMB took in.

I think it would be cool if tikiranch was just trying to break even on costs and time.I could understand that, because it would make sense. Taking 80% is wrong and I don't care how you justify it.

Just so you all know,if Ryan needed it,the drags food fund would be the HAMBs no questions asked. We'd do it outta pocket at the drags.

I saw the first auction and also saw the upcoming units would be an 80/20 split. I also saw that the auction was thumbtacked both times. My understanding is the Ryan is the only one who can do that. Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't know what tikiranch's costs are and I don't know what Ryan's tab is for bandwidth but I figure ever little bit helps the cause. The real question for me is..do both tikiranch and Ryan think the split is fair?

Cartman you are correct. Ryan is the only one who can pin up the posts. I may be completely out of line. Doesn't chance how I view it though.

    Last bid $110.00 ------FEDER

    Any others?

Don't stop on my account as the HAMB will still get it share of the auction

Hey fellas, I understand your concerns and Tiki and I have been talking... He's bee really cool about it all. Top notch guy to work this hard and create something so cool... and then give even a percentage of the dough to the HAMB.

For the rest of the knobs in this series we are going to do something a little different so as to get the price a little lower for other HAMB members. I know this might some of the previous winners grumpy, but I will refund them the difference if I need too.

I just think think these are really friggin cool and I think everyone deserves a shot of getting one regarless of their current financial situation...

Zeke, you and others had legit concerns and Tiki contacted me so that we could put our heads together and figure out a fair solution for all. Like I said, he's just been amazingly cool about the whole deal... He wanted it to be fair as much as you guys did and we came to a solution that I think all will be happy with... No harm done man.

Hey kids, Sorry it took so long for me to respond. I didn't mean to start any drama.
    Zeke-no harm no foul
truth-That's Kool you dig the shift knobs. I terrorize the streets wearing my choppahead t.
Ryan-Thanks again for the support and for letting me be part of the grit in the grease of this internet Hambwhich.
Feder-You are the man. That last post had me laughing beer up through my nose! [IMG] I pmed you with the info. Thanks again for bidding. I am going to give $50 of the total to the Hamb since it caused so much static.

Everyone else-The next one will be up in about 2 weeks. Like Ryan said, we worked out how it is going to go down a little different. They will sell for $80+ shipping...$30 bucks from each will go to the Hamb. When I post the pics the first person to email me will get it. Later Steve
