Hi, I was attempting to start a private conversation with an admin to discuss a post that was deleted, but I also do not appear to have the ability to start a conversation. I'm not sure if that is a limitation on a new user or what the deal is?
I'd still like to understand why my post was deleted, so if an admin is able to start a conversation with me that would be great!

Check out the forum rules. They are very specific and straight forward. I'm sure if you read them you will be able to work the reason out for yourself. Not having a go at you. Just some friendly advise on how things work around here.

If you were talking about your '42ish Jeep or '90 Volvo that may be the issue. Neither would be considered a traditional hot rod or custom.

The 42ish Jeep would be acceptable on the antiquated section. :)

Yeah, I signed up because I had read a few threads on here from others adopting the Ford 2.3 into an old hot rod. I searched this site quite a bit when starting my build. My situation is essentially the same even though my '42 GPW is 4wd. That particular bellhousing is in some cases a key component for adapting that engine to a vintage transmission. It has a short 7" depth which allows space for an adapter plate and retain the original input shaft on the transmission. I thought it may be useful to someone here, as hot-rodders and a handful of flat-fender jeep guys are the only ones doing such a conversion these days. Apparently I was mistaken, so I can be on my way.
