I've been sold/gifted a couple vintage Chevy cars. They have been in my family since purchased new.
I am not a car guy, but do believe they have worth to the right person. Both run, but need to be driven and cared for more than they currently get.
'65 Chevy Impala 4dr hardtop with new 350 crated engine and 4 barrel holly carb, new interior and new paint in same original off-white color - originally purchased new by my great Aunt
'60 Chevy Bel Air 4dr hardtop, all original, never been touched, red with white top - originally purchased by my grandfather within years of him becoming bedridden due to MS.
I love the way they drive, but I'm not in a position to care/upkeep. Give me your best suggestion of what they are worth.

The value really depends on condition. while the 65 is a hardtop, the 60 is a sedan. the difference is when you roll the windows down on a hardtop there is no metal door frame around where the window was. on a sedan there is a perimeter metal around where the window was... 4 doors are typically less valuable than the 2 doors. what engine is in the 60? 348?

Red ‘60 Bel Air has the v8 283.
My dad literally loaded grandpa (due to his MS diagnosis and advancement) behind the wheel for what he knew to be his last drive. When he pulled back into the farm yard, he looked up at dad and said, “Well, she’ll still do a hundred”. He never drove again. I only knew the man in the hospital bed in town. Grandma took care of him, bedridden for 28 years. More than you asked I guess.
