Love the little oval FTF plaque... the late Sam Sampson commissioned Al Lavine to machine the mold to cast those babies in 1982, before Maine had street rod plates... local fuzz were bears about fenders... loose translation = "Fornicate The Fenders".... O'brian Truckers now recasts them but his letters are either male when Sam's were female, or the vice-versa... cool that O'brian made the repops different... it looks great on the '32 fiver... and I do indeed have the 35 year old one...
Go find it at the Detroit autorama !! Sadly I cannot make it Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Ya, it was a great weekend at Autorama. When I got to the show on Thursday, I found out the car was in the HOP UP booth. Then on Friday the Rodder's Journal sent out the Email that lead with the Goldchainer. On Saturday Street Rodder shot the car for a "Street Shaker" feature coming out later this summer. Damn, sounds like a hat trick to me! It makes the thrash and all the long days worth while. Thanks again for your help on this one Flop. (Wait until they get a look at the roadster, huh Tom??)
A real nice roadster is in the works !! Keep your eyes peeled !! [emoji848][emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Just an update on this car. The #Goldchainer is featured as the Street Shaker in the September issue of Street Rodder Magazine. After 2 times to the track, she's making high 10 second passes. Still some suspension and engine tuning to do, but I'm really happy with the progress so far.
Oh she rips alright! Sure is motivating too. I promptly came home and started fixing my 32s grill shell because of the Goldchainer. Thanks man, Wyatt Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
