As a lurker and a member, Jim is one of those members you see in a lot of post. Be it advice, experience, knowledge or opinion. I can say in my time in both I wouldn't consider the hamb the same without him. He stands out like a number of members that make this forum what it is. Congratulations and thanks for your time here. You are one of the many reasons I am here. Thank you!
Congratulations! You are the one guy that gave me advice on electricity that I understand, and intend to follow. Bob
Congratulations on the 20 year milestone Jim, I have enjoyed following your exploits driving across the country, whether driving to a track to race or driving to a lemons event. You are always extremely helpful when advice is needed to solve problems or offering suggestions, I really enjoyed meeting you and your son when you stopped by my place in your Corvette enroute to another drag week and taking you & Steven to lunch at Arnold's .Hamburgers. I value your friendship and having the opportunity to add your name and face to the long list of hambers I have met over my last 20 plus years. I hope you will continue to be a valuable member for many years to come. Danny
57,000 posts! where do you find the time give all the help/advice, work on all those cars and do all that racing?
Congratulations to @squirrel on the 20 years of having fun, and not being daunted by tricky elements, that need expert trouble shooting. Thanks from Dennis for all of the good advice ! Obviously a blown head gasket!
Congratulations Jim! Love your posts, hope to meet you in person sometime in the future. God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
Well I'll be....Always look forward to your advice and especially fixes for everyone. The builds are epic. Guess I'll be 21 yrs next month. Time flies.
I hear Jim can leap a big block Chevy in a single bound. Apparently faster than a speeding Corvette. Has the strength of a dozen 12 bolts. Legend.
20 years has probably gone by fast, as I am up to 8 and still feel like a "newb". Thanks for all of the knowledge shared, and for taking everyone along on your adventures. It is kind of neat to see you in videos of various events and feel a little like I "know" someone that is there!
Thanks for all your knowledge and help you provide here on the HAMB. And a big shout out for your mentoring of the HS robotics team as well. The world needs more "typewriter repairmen" Here's to another 20!
Well, everything's pretty much already been said. Congrats! You're a pretty handy guy to have around!!
Congrats on twenty years always love to read your post. I consider them as the gold standard on information. Now would you explain the username?
The username came from Hot Rod magazine issue from Power Tour 2004, was published right about the time I signed up here. HRM got a picture of me doing a burnout on a public road, and published it, showing that I was just another street squirrel....
Squirrel/ Squirrely The term "squirrely" is an informal slang term used to describe someone or something as eccentric, flighty, or slightly odd. For example, you might describe someone's behavior as squirrely if they seem to be acting erratically or unpredictably, or if their actions seem vaguely odd or strange. The term "squirrely" is a combination of the word "squirrel" and the suffix "-y", which makes adjectives meaning "characterized by or inclined to". The first records of the term "squirrely" date back to around the 1930s. Jim, it appears you earned your username! I like it. HRP
