    It's a ****ty name for a motorcycle...makes no sense...maybe it would be a better name for a boat.

    Let me help you out Hatch.
    Most people dont call motorcycles streetrods the call them bobbers,choppers,bike,etc.Most of the time the word streetrod is gonna be ***ociated with 4 wheel vehicles. I can see it now let me look back into my crystal ball, ah yes I see this is from the same company who tried to patent the sound of their motorcycles and now the company who is trying to stop their dealers from selling straight pipes. I probably will get a cease and ***it letter for just mentioning these to debackles or they might try to sue me because the playing cards in the spokes on my bike sound to much like one of their bikes.
    I hope this helps Hatch.

    Read all about it here http://www.harley-davidson.com/en/homef.asp?bmLocale=en_US

    Looks impressive,for the type of bike it is, which is the "crotch rocket" type.
    Won't thrill "Traditional" H-D riders one bit but H-D needs to branch out if they are going to collect some of the compe***ion's market.

    The term..."Street Rod" started as a politically correct term, and I HATE things that are politically correct....that's why it's a ****ty name....and it makes no sense to call a bike a street rod....it makes about as much sense to call a boat a street rod.

    New Harleys are now politically correct, so they ****.....I hope this clarifys my position.....****ty name for a ****heap bike......conceived to sell to more "divorced orthodontists".....

    You might remember when Harley tried to copyrite the sound, potato..potato etc. they didn't have any luck with that. The foreign bikes have made vast gains on harley by offering v-twins. This latest issue is an attemp to bond with the street rodders (gold chainers) like the Ford truck of a couple years ago.

    I quit buying new harleys when the fired the last harley that worked there. I never rode a davidson and personally I think willie G is an ***hole, but they certainly know marketing. Lets face it with the v rod you have an overpriced, slow, poor handeling bike, with a large price tag and they sell it.

    Harley also knows that most of the bikes sold do not see many miles per year, just like a lot of big buck street rods. Just as Street rods are now mainstream, bikes (harleys) are as well, and I bet this is a way to get the street rodders to buy harleys.

    yeah, but check out the new sportster features;

    "Most noticeable are the blacked-out Evolution powertrain and race-ready 883R graphics...". i guess if you're only racing other 883 sportsters, that may be fun to watch...:p

    Well, I'll give you that one, maybe the new sportster with the rubber mounts won't shake your teeth out but it's still too slow.
