B***'s coupe....cuz I helped him drag it home from the deer lease and know what he started with. Plus I am just a little prejudiced.

OK, I've read all 7 pages. My choice for hot rod of the year:
any hot rod a guy can climb into and drive across the state in the rain and is willing and able to thrash it down a drag strip, or do donuts in the mud with. The car that the guy (or gal) that owns it isn't afraid to break it.

Custom of the year: This one has to be the one where you stand there and look at it for a long time and admire the fit, modifications, and the amount of forthought that went into the building of that creation. The car that has the stuff done to it that you only wished you thought of or were capable of building.

See my choices are pretty much open, there are a lot of hot rods and customs on the HAMB that fit the requirements. On any given day, the best one yesterday, may not be the best one today.

To repeat what I heard today:
    You can't change the world,
    so all you can do,
    is what you can do,
    with what you have,
    available to you,
    today.

  3. This is why I chose Cole's '36...most who don't know it started life as a 5-window will never know. Looking over this custom, my eye doesn't stop until it hits the pavement. Also, a car which I can stare at for a lengthy amount of time just to figure out what's been changed (if I even can) is what I look for and this one fits the bill.

The fabrication alone on Littleman's coupe does it for me.

I probably won't generate any discussion with my response, but I figure I might as well back up my picks.

I thought any hot rod/custom, that put a smile on it's owners face was a winner! Leave the judging and accolades to the street rodders. This one upmanship takes the fun out of hot rodding, leave the voting to indoor car shows and goodguys/nsra events.:(

Man this can get hard and will to decide

First off Loudpedals Roadster is the perfect definition of a 40-50's style hotrod, Secondly you jump up to the later 50's to 60's style you got to include Rolf's, and B***'s Coupes as well as Littlemans. the Hemi's seem like they were the motor of choice for 06. And from the sounds of them I have to agreed. Then you can jump to Larry Coupe and Aussie Steve's Coupe. they just flat out stand out.
I dont care who built them but I know Larry will get driven and we already know Steve drives the hell out of his. The fine line between hot rod, who built it, and how much it gets driven all takes into accountability when I choose my pics.

  9. hard one, here's a few of my faves…

If I had to choose one, it'd be the black caddy!

#13 bucket is amazing. I don't have other pics with me here at work, but the headlights, rear axle, etc is just proportioned so well.

Stude will get my vote in 2007 when it's finished. That's already a bad *** build.
