I think the origional year should be different.......the style is awsome, maybe just use a different color for the following years....so the 1st tag is noticable

    Just my dime.....

I liked the idea of, "Hmmm, wonder what next year's will be like?" However, don't kill yourself with this, it's a donation to you......I'd rather you spend time doing something else to make the board even cooler (can I say it that way:rolleyes:). Also, it keeps you from guessing how many tags to order each year and being stuck with backstock....

I do like your idea of keeping the first year different. In my mind, I see the tag as a retangle- about the size of the little stock plates on a model A gas tank.....Name, date, some type of HAMB logo at the top....the less is more thing, I guess.......

Another thing, just thinking out loud here, is to give the cool plate to everyone on their first year and then some sort of decal each proceeding year....

I'll shut up, I'll be happy as long as my membership/donation keeps the place afloat and helps you, the wife and kiddies....

How about when you join you get the current sized metal tag with your year of joining and your name on it? In subsequent years you get a decal with the HAMB Alliance logo that indicates the year of membership that you stick on a window.
If you want to leave all the annual stickers on the window its up to you. I never expected multiple tags; the objective was to support the HAMB, not created a costly and time consuming administrative burden.

Don't know if this has been covered, but have you thought about the idea of a lifetime membership option.

I think it could be a little smaller. something that will fit the factory Model A ford firewall plaque holes.. so no extra drilling

I like this idea a lot. It's just like renewing your "tags" on your car. I am not gonna put a bunch of holes in my ride or change them out every year. Leave them all black, and allow members to get a replacement with the year that they became members if they want one. You could order them in bulk without a date and just stamp the date. This way, there would be no waste from year to year. This covers those who wanted multiple tags for different cars, as well as replacing those that get worn out. The '06 tags would still be special because the date is printed instead of stamped. Make the stickers small so that 10 years from now you could still see out the windshield if thats where you want to put them. I favor waterslides for the traditional look. Send out two stickers with each renewal, one for the car and one for the toolbox. I would also be in favor of a lifetime membership. Just my take on it.

  19. Man I just wish I could have afforded the 2006 tag let alone going onto the 07' tags.
Not that my opinion counts as I'm not a member but I like the large tag for the first year and the smaller tags for consecutive years. Problem being is that Ryan would need to make up both tags for each year from here on in.
    Cheers,
    Doc.

should be a hair smaller. the 2006 year should be better than the rest. why make em the same? first year should be something better and different so years down the road gearheads will see it and know it's the first ones made. 2007 could be made with the HAMB logo and name as the 2006 but make the paint and mounting holes split the tag at the name and year. that way if someone wants to cut the HAMB logo off and display just the date and name under the 2006 tag they could. If they were printed to where the could be cut in two you could hang the date under the first tag and the HAMB logo on your tool box or ? or you could just use the whole tag if you get another car.I think it's funny guys say they don't want multi tags on the firewall. am I the only one that has more cars than tags?

I like this idea my self, keeps me from having to put on a whole new tag every year, plus it lets every body know what year I joined the alliance!

How 'bout primer with red pinstriping???? I have my 2006 tag and am proud of it. I'll continue to support the HAMB in any way I can and take whatever Ryan comes up with. Thanks............

Using the second tag like the one above doesn't help Ryan out much. He'll still have to stamp each new tag. A second tag with just the year printed on it would save him a lot of the h***le. Ask him how much fun it is to stamp out a couple dozen tags.

There's a lot to be said about redundancy in the above layout too.

I think you guys haven't thought this through......and forgive me if this issue was already mentioned, but I am not reading through every reply to find out if it has been.....but if you think you are making it easier on Ryan with the small "add-on" tag you're not.

Any new members in '07(and beyond) will want a full tag this first time out. This requires a new screen to be made anyways - so I say you just get a new tag altogether. One tag per year - one screen per year.

It's hard enough to expect him to stamp the personalized part of it.

My only contention to this line of thinking is that from now on the year part of the full tag (and any add-on style tags) could be part of the stamping process.

That's my input. Not that it matters - since I am not currently part of the Alliance, but I thought I'd put it out there....

Ryan, I have a dumb*** question since I just joined this year.... is the renewal automatic? Or at least an auto-notify?

Because I can't find my *** with both my hands behind my back most times.... much less remember when to send my funds. :D
