    I vote for this one,
    [IMG]
Its an Aussy survivor from the 60s. Its VERY rare to find a car in Oz that was built back when and is still in that condition. Some real history that is sadly missing from Australian Hotrodding, even worse since John took his awesome channeled 32 to the states with him, come back or at least send the car back John!!
    John Cowling's car,

When and where was this pic taken?
Any one know if hes a HAMBer?

  4. Doc, you are right the Darryl Harvey '34 roadster is a true Survivor and was actually built in the 1950s and was the first rod to get a Y block transplant down here, it was also featured in Rod & Custom in the early 60s along with Darrol Fingers 5w.

Nice pics Me-Ohs. Could definitely see any one of those in the 08 calendar. I think my fav out of them is either the 3/4 shot of the car in front of the bridge or the garage shot... Very KooL!

Thanks Troy, I spent some time today trying to find a good location to take the photos. I think they came out real nice and I had fun taking them and trying to not get hit by the passing cars, LOL

And for all you bridge buffs that's Harrisburg's Rockville bridge, the longest stone masonry arch rail bridge in the world.

  10. Wow, many really nice pics.

Here is my attempt to show the beauty of the Bonneville landscape with some old truck in it :D :D I took it horizontal but cropped it to vertical and saved to low res, it looks better in horizontal showing more of the land and less of my COE.

Hey, that is close. I still think this photo is the reason most of us are here.
Kevin and I are going to the roundup next year, it would be coool if I could hang with a calender coupe.

  18. John never took that car to the US, it's still in Australia and was recently restored by the current owner. He's the guy with all the Mofffat and Brock race cars up there in Qld. I believe the car is on display in his museum.

FWIW, the car pictured below is Bazz Fletcher's model A roadster 'Henrietta' which to this day still looks exactly as it does on the photograph.

This car was one of the first in Australia to have the flathead transplanted with a small block. Likewise it was one of the first to be fitted with the new Cragar SS wheels and state of the then tyre art, Polyglass wide tread rubber.

Dunno where the pic was taken, could be Calder Park, when? dunno that either.

  19. this is the most perfect 34 I have ever seen!!!!!!!

Half way through these photos, might have a solution! A Daily Calender, One photo per day!

It would be a shame to leave some of these out
