Sent mine yesterday. It's going to be a rough couple of months getting the car ready to travel that far but thats what I get! Plus that Friday is my birthday!!! The best birthdays are spent at the Round Up.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!

 

For those looking for rooms, I just called the Homestead Suites, which has been a fairly poplular place to stay the last few years.

They show "sold out" when you try to book online, but they do have a few rooms left. Made a reservation with them.

The hotel is about 6-8 blocks from the Continental Club, for those wondering.

Anyone know if any of these hotels are giving discounts? last year, I stayed at the woodward over on I35, and it was a nice place, plenty close and loads of good parking. I actually could see quiet a bit from our room,, even the pool(that was closed for remodeling) it was like $89 a night we got a deal, Beatnik called them and got a LSRU discount going I think.

 

I asked (Homestead) if there was a discount or LSRU rate and she said no. There is, however, a 5% AAA discount that they can apply at check-out.

 

Hey guys check out the econo lodge on 290 east.I found some decent rates there and it looks to be no more than 3-5 miles from the expo center.

 

correction just yahooed it 9.81 miles

I got 3 rooms at the Super 8 and it's just down from the capital. $55 for a double and $99 for 2 doubles. They still have rooms. it's fairly new and pretty nice.

Do ya think there will be 1000 cars there? That's a **** load. Hope to be there again this year. The A is close but, I don't think I can get it done it time. Anyway, it's a blast and should require mandatory attendance for all here.

Hey Will! I spent the weekend cleaning out the garage at home and getting the A ready to move over there. Also did some welding on the fenders, those little/rusty cracks are a *****. How's your weekend look?

 

not sure i have knee surgery wednesday, but should beable to hook a trailer up and drive I can get help to push it on the trailer that should be no problem...
