Ok, I admit it. I like 90's billet cars! Not the from a catalog billet stuff, but the cars carved out by craftsmen. This truck had that look.

I forgot to mention how much driving I did just to go to a car show that is roughly 140 miles away from my house.

Friday after work I had to drive to dad's house in Memphis to get the truck and take it to my house (250 miles each way). Saturday we got up and drove to the show, spent the day, and drove back to my house (140 miles each way). Sunday morning I took the truck back to dad's and brought my daily driver back home (another 250 miles each way).

1300 miles! 800 of which were in an old truck with no air and no radio...by myself (the wife and kids rode up in the wife's car). Oh, and did I mention the thunderstorms in Tennessee on Sunday. Lots of fun.

Actually, I loved the hell out of all of it.

I've been going to the Follies since '82 and I've wondered what those bunkers are for also. My guess is something to do with WWII.

I figured it was for sileage for the livestock that get shown. The place is a 4H fairground after all.

Im counting the days till next years event.

My Dad rode shotgun with me 4 of the 6 hour drive and we had a blast all weekend together.

Don't know if many of you know that one of the long time members of the E ville Iron Club that makes this deal happen died earlier in the week. On Friday his funeral procession made a run through the fairgrounds.

That moment just increased my awareness of how brief our lives are. My father is 72 and I do my best to ensure that we take in every rodding moment possible together.

I did not know that. Them blocking keeping traffic down on the main road through the fair grounds made sense then.

Thanks for post the pics, I went last year and there were too many "street rods" there for me and not very many good hot rods. This year it looks like there were a good number of good hot rods. I will have to plan on going next year. It is a great spot to have a car show and a great swap meet as well.

There was some pretty neat stuff there. I saw several HAM alliance tags and HAMB window decals.

What I like about this show is the people. not one single gold chainer ass-hat in the whole bunch. Sure there were some expensive cars there, but the owners were nice.
