I thought this was cool with the Betties in the background. ther is even a palm tree if you look close enough. must be California.

I'll throw my hat into the ring:

 

that is a very cool picture.........but...there should be a "do not try this at home disclaimer" i work for U.P and i drive those locomotives and that was a stupid ass thing to do at the distance it looks like in the pic i suprised you got the car out of the way in time cause there is deffinetly not enough time for that train to stop.........but sweet pic though..

 

Now these have that "WOW" factor!!!!

I figure the crossing gates are up it must be far enough away, ok kids don't try this at home. In reality that train sits there every few days for 3 hrs before it continues on it's coal run. I just couldn't pass up the shot but wish I had someone along so I could of acted like I was pushing the car. You could imagine the look on the faces of the Missouri locals seeing a guy from NY setting up the shot...lol

 

Doesn't get much better than this.

I am finding that all of my personal favorite pictures are either in black and white or are vertical, but here are some that do meet the criteria...

 

I'm sure glad I don't have to choise the 12 photos for the calander,,they are way too many to narrow it down to a even dozen. HRP
