Why is it every time I see a picture of a Brewster, I think of the movie "SCREAM"???? Mike, great pics, keep em coming.
I don't have a wide angle lens just a cheap ole camera so the last 3 shots are from the school overlooking the park starting from the giant center going back towards the red field end. Fantastic weather and cars and didn't even walk the car corral most of the cars were on the field. Saw Skidmarks again and saw a tall striking blonde walking away from a group of guys but she looked mad so I didn't bother her..
Thanks for the pictures. I was there friday all day, saw maybe 1/4 of it. Really pissed that I couldn't find any flathead 6 parts but what the hey, ordered some new shoes for my dodge from coker.
We walked from noon Tues. until 6 pm. and all day Wed. & Thur. and half of Fri. and we didn't see it all either. Tough to explain to anyone who hasn't been there that's why I tried to get a pic. from up on the hill but it was too big to even do that. Can't wait for next year gotta start saving now. I didn't write down any prices so if they don't show in the pics. I don't know other than the little A-V-8 roadster started at $28k on Tues.
I used to go yearly when I lived back east and, you're right, you have to start saving now. What did you get?
I didn't buy much this year, one Kelsey Hayes 40 spoke to go with the 3 I had and a set of artillery wheels, oh and the coolest leather jacket with hand painted Ford V-8 stuff on it. Saw a lot of $1,500 '32 grille shells and junk Halibrands for big $
I went in 1996 and at the time I heard if you walked very inch of the place you went 17 miles. Whether this is true or not I cant say but my hips hurt for weeks and I did walk every inch of it. Best part to me was the race cars running around the high school track field. Dont even know if they still have to prove it runs like that or not. The hi roller cars at the mansion on the hill were amazing too. I still have video some where of the race cars on the track
I was Looking for one 40 spoke for a spare. Was the one you bought white? I was told about one, by the time I got there it was gone. All the rest were **** or only sold as a set. Thanks to THE37KID & Family for the HAMB Banner. It was good to see and meet fellow HAMBers.
I think the white one was at the Kansas sheet metal dealers he had two for $185 but the other one was junk. There was another guy in the chocolate field that had 6 or seven rusty ones but I didn't ask. Here's a pic. of the jacket I bought.
Nice! The guy with seven would not sell them separately except for one that was junk. Seems like We all took photos of the same cars.
I guess we all liked the same cars. I walked for 3 days and did not see it all. Did some areas twice. Man am I sore. Can't Wait For Next Year
