That Nash is really neat looking. I think that's the first one of those I ever saw customized that I liked. Very clean.

  9. Don't know which year, but these Oldsmobiles always look great to me.

  10. It caught my eye the minute I walked into the area it was located.

  11. This Cadillac was there a few years ago too, but it looks great.

  12. Nothing better than an old Ford truck in my mind.

  13. The colors not my favorite, but the way its accented makes it look great.

  14. Thats pretty much it for now, the rest are for the wife's attraction to muscle cars and lowrider vans. If you like vans, I can upload those pictures later.

Probably best to post a link to your photo host on those for the guys who want to see them.

That's a nice batch of photos. We don't seem to get to see enough of the customs at the show.

  16. Thanks very much 54hotrod- gotta agree with Squablow on that Nash. Really like the approach on that '55 Chev too.
'35 Buick is a tasty dish. Gotta feeling 30-35 GM's may become fashionable kustom fodder, perhaps helped along by the GNRS result.
Kaiser, Packard? tailights fit good on that superb Cadillac.

Great stuff. C'mon Cali, pics, (the more, the merrier)..:)

    p.s; the Olds is a '56 yeh?:)

  17. Are there better looking trucks than these, 40-41's & '56 F100's?

Spoggie - You were looking for customs? This was my favorite of the Drive in show. 49 Hudson - really clean chop, interior and finish. It's a SoCal car, as I've seen it a few times, but have never meet the owner. Anone know anything about this beauty?

Since I could not make it to the show this year, I have selected a series of photos from the custom cars at the GNRS and shared them on the Custom Car Chronicle Forum. You can find them HERE.

  20. Thanks for link Rik.

^^ That Hudson must look awesome, comin' & goin' down the street. Daring grille choice that works, and check the wheel arch/ bumper work.
It's hard to find those Hudsons down here in good shape, they rust. Folks here were using late Falcon unitary front clips on them.
    Thank you 39ChevyBob for posting.

The Hetfield car is actually completely hand-formed by Marcel and Luc DeLey. I do like that Olds 88. Mid-'50s B-O-Ps don't take much to be cool mild customs. Thanks for posting.

  26. Fantastic result by master artisans. Looks like Mark 5 Jag doors/ cowl/ screen. I'd like to see this up close. The stance is killer. And the paint detail works for me- I think they stuck their necks out & it's paid off big- time. There's a modern, more understated glow to this than the use of bright plating (chrome). It has harmony. Outstanding, a real 'red carpet ride'.

unbelievable car, but I wish they would have plated the trim, if not Chrome, nickel plating would have been a nice choice
