Here are a few pictures I took this Sunday at the Surfside campout show n' shine in Port Fairy Victoria. The weather was very threatening all week leading up to the show and on Sunday morning, but the rain held off and it turned out to be a very nice afternoon. more coming......
This '32 is for sale, asking around $40k. If you're interested I can put you in contact with the owner. We were told that this one used to be a speedway car and was very rough when they started on it. You'd never know, it looks great now. Well that's all the pictures I took. It was a great day hanging out with mates, meeting some new friends and getting to see some people I only see maybe once a year. Already looking forward to next year.
Great collection of photos (FB) the whole weekend was good... Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Hey Mitch, thanks for posting the images. I was talking to Tony last night and he was telling me all about the weekend, as well as that orange Aussie '34 5W. Geoff aka whodaky
So this is where the cars were that I missed at the Kustom Nnationals. It is over 5 hours away though. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/australian-kustom-nationals-2015.959149/
I've never been to the Kustom nats. Always wanted to but with such a good show, so close to home, on the same weekend it doesn't really make sense to travel all that way. one day maybe. PS I've always loved your Hudson, I had a poster of it on my bedroom wall when I was in high school.
You make me feel old when you say you had the poster on the wall in high school!!! The car was finished in 2005 and then we had the registration authorities jump on me and battled for several years to have it registered legally. The new National Code of Practice came out and with the help of my certifier we got it through last October. Same car basically but now legal. Bloody bureaucrats. The trip down to The Kustom Nationals was basically a shakedown run for the car and we did a 4000km return trip with only a small problem on the way down when a calliper bolt came loose. Found a few more things to look at and then preparations are underway to take it to USA for a 10,000km road trip from CA to Dewey Oklahoma(Stray Kat 500), then up to Detroit area for several museums, Lincoln Nebraska for the Speedway Motors Museum and the onto Santa Maria for the West Coast Kustoms event. The icing on the cake at the Nationals was being awarded "Australia's Most Beautiful Kustom" award. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/australian-kustom-nationals-2015.959149/#post-10793243
