Hi. Do not have the exact date in front of me right now but in April is the HUGE Pate Swap meet held at the Texas Motor Speedway just north of Fort Worth. Usually sell more than 9,000 vendor spaces plus car corral. Also next year they are planning to bring in a huge nationally sponsored car show with 1,500 + high end show vehicles. Also the antique motorcycle assn. usually has around 300 spaces in the swap meet area. Lots of walking at this one.
For those not aware there are 16 antique car clubs in Texas that own that event. Our club is one of them and we will be there working the event.

The Pate swap meet at the Texas Motor Speedway is April 27 - 30th 2017 -I've been setting up at Pate since 1977....seems it's going away from swap meet to "money meet"like how many spots they can sell. This year 2016 was a bust for them as the "show cars" and the early "brass cars" didn't show up because of the chance of rain.....they took up a lot of reserved good spaces which SUCKED big time for us old timers.....

If you end up in the East for Carlisle, there are a lot of other show/swaps in the area right around that time.

The Big 3 Swap meet at Qualcom Stadium in San Diego the end of February is a huge 3 day event. Worth rescheduling your trip to an earlier arrival date if possible. IMO.

what part of California are you arriving in? does all over mean heading to other States too? already have plan to ship parts home? Cruzerdog, here, produces Cruisin' News with dates for swaps and more in Northern & Central California - for Southern California search: socalcarculture.com

If you are planning on taking Rt66 from California to Chicago, make a point to stop at Lewis Antique Auto and Toy Museum in Moriarty, New Mexico. It's right on old 66. It's well worth the effort.

If you're planning to go up the coast to the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Idaho, Oregon) a good web site with a complete calendar of events can be found on Cruzin' Magazines web site (www.cruzinmag.com).
Have fun, sounds like a good time.

the LA Roadster show has a 3 day swap on Father's Day weekend (June 2017) at the Pomona Fairgrounds. Much lower percentage of new trinkets (Hot Wheels, Betty Boop repro signs etc) and more HAMB friendly hot rod parts
