I seal my shop doors for the winter. Well seeing it is a nice day.... finally in the 70's, actually 72 degrees, I unsealed my shop north door and woke up the old girl to 2021. OHV 6 / 3 on the tree. Basic the way it use to be back in the day. Time for a local spin. Tomorrow is suppose to be in the low 80's , might have to come back and do it again....
Hell yeah. Here's my first spring cruise. Took the family out for the best fried perch in the state of Michigan. Jerry's Pub, Whamplers lake, Irish Hills.
Nice here in SoCal as well. Took Rusty to a car show/get together last night. Took the leaf blower and blew all the leaves and **** out of the bed and the dust from inside the cab. Even washed the windows. All ready to go for the rest of the year.
me too...first 70 degree day in northern Illinois in over 140 some days,...got the 47 out for a drive...
Perfect weather and time of year for parts hunting, car spotting and other nefarious activities. No leaves so groves can be peered into, no mosquitos, woodticks or high humidity. April/May is when I get most of my car stuff done.
Took the car to the Easter show in St. Charles, Mo. today. Temps in the 70's and sunny. Perfect day for a show with about 750 cars or so in attendance. Lots of Hamb stuff there, but a lot of OT stuff as well.
Actually it hasn't changed much. I took my woody out there for the 'nooner' summer sandbar party last year. Lots of old school families still on the lake, Jerry's is bigger than it used to be, but the old building is still there and recognizable as such. State park the same and still host to campers all summer! If you get up to Michigan sometime hmu and we'll cruise over for ****tails n fish. My treat.
My car is not ready, but warm ups/hot laps for the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modifieds are going to be this Friday night at Albany-Saratoga speedway, and Saturday night at Fonda speedway.
I have been driving one of mine all winter, but got the other out and put about 700 miles on each on a trip up to Missouri and back for the Hot Rod Hundred over the weekend.
Got the '57 out of winter storage yesterday and drove it to work today, hoping to use it every day from here until fall. I have a garage full of nice painted stuff that never seems to get used now that this thing is around. I'll have to make an effort to change that.
Had mine out about a week ago. Tomorrow it's supposed to be almost 80* so it's time to get it out again.
We had some very nice weather last week, so I took the roadster out for a spin. As far as I know, it was the furthest it's been driven in the past 50 years.
Been driving mine all winter. Except for a rough February. Took my 89 year old dad on a little road trip last week. Weather has been great. Have'n a little SPRING FEVER!! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
