The 2023 Lonestar Roundup Garage Crawl will be Friday April 21st. We will meet at the original location of "Round Rock Donuts" located at 106 West Liberty Ave, Round Rock, TX 78664. You can park on several side streets or use the First Baptist Church parking lot. FYI...when we depart we will be heading north on Interstate 35 so you may want to be pointed in that direction. I hope to have members of the Round Rock Police on hand to lend ***istance with traffic but they may be unavailable depending on their Friday morning call load. Once you are parked, I encourage you to feast on some of the world famous (according to Travel & Leisure and many other outlets) Round Rock Donuts. Go to their web site at www.roundrockdonuts.com for the complete menu of tasty treats. The wait in line is worth it! As of March 20th I am not sure how many stops we will have but they will all be worth the drive. Still working on stops as this is posted. We will have the drivers meeting at 7:30 am and will depart immediately after that. Printed instructions will be p***ed out to drivers at the meeting. Be sure to have your gas tank full. Please note that not all stops will have a restroom so plan accordingly. I have mapped out and timed our stops to have you on your way to the Expo center before 12:00 noon. Things to know... There is no fee to attend the crawl and you do not have to be a registered participant of the 2023 Lonestar Roundup to come along. Everyone is welcome (including well behaved children). Please NO PETS. There will be NO ROOM for trailers at the starting point so drive your vintage cars & trucks. In a rental car? No worries. I do ask that you follow at the tail end of the pack. If you have questions or require more information prior to the crawl you can reach me at... markgus@austin.rr.com or on my wireless at (512) 496-8658. See you on the road! Mark Gustafson
Only 10 more sleeps Mark. Really Looking forward to it . Been a while since we have been able to get over. See you Friday 14th Mark, for some hi jinks.
Just did a practice run with Mark and he has done an outstanding task of selecting some cool and varied stops, be prepared for a real treat . Something for everyone. Even the weather man says it should be ok. Be ready at dark thirty Friday.
I can't even think of the Roundup without thinking of the Friday Garage Crawl. It has been my favorite part of the event since the first one I went on. Thanks Mark and others for all you do to get this deal organized. I wish I was going along, but may have to just look at pics and get a report from my son who likely will make it.
