I recently pulled a flathead out of a truck I found in the desert and brought it home and the thing is in pretty good shape. It looks as if the crank and a few of the rods sat in water for awhile as they are gone, as well as the timing gear, but for the most part the cylinders look really good. I was wondering if you guys could tell me how easy it woul be to get replacement parts for the bottom end and if there is really any point to keeping it seeing as how its a 21 stud block. Has anyone ever built one of these things up? There was a date tag that indicated it was from 1937 and from what I can tell the date fits. I figure worst thing possible is that I have a new cofee table for the garage. Here's a pic of how I found it, Ill post more later of the block once I get some. Oh and anyone know how hard it is to get heads for a nailhead? I found one of them too. Thanks in advance! -Spearodude
