Hey. Looking at a flathead and the guy has the wrong heads. Can 21 stud heads be modded to fit on a 24 stud engine?

Afraid of that. Guy has a flathead and 4 speed for 100 bucks so it may be worth getting and hoping to find some heads later.

I have a set of 59ab heads. Is it an early or later engine? Where do you live? Tim

You looking at aftermarket aluminum heads or stock steel? Stockers are a dime a dozen. Better to have a 24 stud block with 21 heads than the other way around.

Just a caution.......as we all know......flathead blocks are notorious for cracks.......
