   Can I use a 21-stud block for mockup, to make firewall, gearbox mounts etc.
   
   I happen to have one, and I'm still looking for a nice 59a or 8ba.

   Yes, just make some comparison measurements to the front mounts. I think the pre-37-ish stuff might have the water pump engine mounts in slightly different height or width from the post-37.
