As I am looking at the frame for my 53 F250 I am starting to think about how I will be running the exhaust... I have some super spiffy long tube headers and would really like to run true duals, but I don't want my big bad ass american truck to sound like I am running a fart can...I also don't want it to sound TOO obnoxious (but there are a few neighbors that need to be given some grief...) Any suggestions? I have heard of people running a muffler or glasspack on one side of the exhaust and a straight pipe on the other. I was leaning towards glass packs for simplicity sake and just setting it up so they clamp in for easy swapping/replacement... Suggestions?
You could run porter mufflers, they have a deep throaty sound to them. I would suggest running a muffler on each side, not just one on one side and nothing on the other.
