216 died while driving home from work

    The 235 is a much better engine than the 216 as it has a pressure.

    Not all 235s are full pressure. Pre-'53, they are not. '53 is, IF it came with a Powerglide. '54 and after, all are full pressure.

    Gear can be had at almost all real part stores. Take the time to cut it off carefully. Next warm the gear up in a toaster oven(for 25 bucks i keep a new oven in the shop)at under 130 degrees or the water trick. Care to push it on and your done. Pan is the biggest pain.

    Thanks for setting this right.
    I wasnt thinking about what I was writing.
    I should have know this, from putting chains together on dozers.
    We use to chill the pins, to get them to slide in the chain links, on the dozer cats
