Ok guys, I am not on here too often but I have some info for you guys running the 218 flathead six and looking for oil filters. Many people have changed to a remote unit as it does make sense. However, after looking hard and long for filters,( Even Roberts Motorparts only has 10 on the shelf, without the ability to get more) you can get a filter from Napa under the part number of 1080. They run about six bucks and are available by the truckload. Hope this helps some of you guys.
Yup, that's the one I use I use in my '39 & '46. Funny, the local NAPA store stocks one and replaces it everytime I buy the one in stock. I'm told I'm the only person buying that filter..... Thanks for posting. Dave
