The talent level here always takes projects so far beyond the original vision.
The cars that come out of Tom's, or Bubba's shops all are built to be driven and they work. Fun town to be in.

Maccustom & Jeff have been Kicking Ass on the the body parts. It has far surpassed my expectations. I can't wait to see the final product. It's better than Xmas...

Hopefuly the frame will back from the powdercoaters today, and all accessory pieces back from Big D's shop. If so we can start re-assembly today, and finish up on Saturday. So we can have a nice assembly for all to view at the Meet & Greet on January 18th.

Big D just came by with the silver parts from his shop. he opened up to use his booth and got them done for us. Thanks Big D..:D
I tryed silver and aluminum rustoleum and chose the aluminum as a complement to the "snake skin green" of the body. A little less "pop" and looks really good next to the black.....

One of these days I will figure out how to attach big pictures to this forum. I added the days work to the photobucket folder - last night John had templates made for a new wood floor in the cab - he and Kirk came by Jeff's shop and did a fitting. We made more progress on the cab today - made new windshield mounts and made a detail for the top of the windshield (Bubba). We have finally completed all the metal work we are going to do. Will prime tomorrow. I started the never ending job of sanding and even though we have fallen behind our "ideal" schedule, we are still planning to sand, body work, prime, sand, prime and sand one last time before paint. Hey Suave - you sure you don't want "hot rod black" with green flames instead?

Slightly falling behind schedule, but still should be able to hit our of Febuary 14th.
Had some paint issues and were not finished with all the detail painting. the body has a second coat of primer on it, and should be mudded by Wednesday. All seems to be going good. With all that show up on Wednesdays we should be able to put one team on the front end and one and the rear. Should put us back on track.

  23. Very good Saturday indeed. Ready for assembly and should be a rolling chassis with drivetrain by Saturday. We need to get our brake plumbing expert Wally on getting the brake lines back in place. We're not falling behind Mikey, so don't panic... yet. haha We're right where we should be.

Just a quick look at the progress on the body modifications.
one picture was 3 years ago, fully mudded and primer. the second picture was taken this past Saturday, and is only in a second primer.

He called it a "Flamethrower" Bubba will have to explain that one... He instructed me, but I don't think I could repeat it correctly.

Has been very productive time, have a few updated pics. the body should be ready for actual paint by this saturday. The front and rear ends are back in place, the engine is ready to go and will be mounted saturday. Break lines are in, Lindross will start the wiring. Waiting to here from VoodooChili on the wood floors, and still need to get with the interior guy.
